Order Food & Drink for Your Stay

At Undercastle, luxury is intentionally unshowy. We don’t have chefs or staff milling in the background. Instead, we offer something far more relaxed and private. Thoughtfully prepared meals, treats or even full menus waiting for you, so the cottage remains entirely yours and uninterrupted.

Your meals are prepared by a close friend of Undercastle

Carol is an accomplished home cook with more than 25 years’ experience creating dishes for private guests, family celebrations and weddings, as well as supplying bespoke menus and beautifully prepared food for luxury yachts. Her cooking is rooted in quality ingredients and local produce, enjoying long-standing friendships with the people who grow, rear, and make them.

Everything here is ready for you

It’s the ease of a five-star stay, without the formality and no one disappearing into the kitchen while everyone else unwinds. Just the rare luxury of everyone relaxing while simply popping a dish in the oven or placing something straight on the table. There are no schedules or waiting to be served. It’s something much better, where you’re all free to settle in, pour a drink, and enjoy your stay the moment you walk through the door with the least amount of effort, exactly as it should be.

To help make that easily possible for your stay, along with our prepared dishes and platters, we have a collection of exceptional wines, locally brewed beer and cider available to pre-order. The wines are curated from the world's oldest wine club, The Wine Society, whose specialist buyers source their wonderful wines directly from growers of the new and old world. We’ve tasted and loved these wines ourselves, and happily pour them for our friends and family.

White Wines from The Wine Society

Specially selected wines from The Wine Society. Choose from 6 bottles (one from each white wine listed below) or 12 bottles (two from each white wine listed below.)

The Wine Society White Selection

White Burgundy 2024 A fine, dry from the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy. The wine is ripe and round, with flavours of apple and stone fruit, a hint of citrus and a lovely streak of minerality.

Picpoul de Pinet 2024 A clean, full-flavoured Languedoc white, lovely on its own or with one of our grazing platters. It is refreshing and light-bodied in the 2024 vintage.

Falanghina 2024 With tangerine and yellow apple flavours, this is a lovely, lively, dry wine with a delicious tangy freshness.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025 elegant, mineral and citrusy. This is pretty on the nose, with crisp apple and elderflower notes. Think refreshing, with bright lemon and gooseberry.

Valdeorras Godello 2024 An exclusive blend from grapes grown on slate soils for a fresh, layered and complex white, with notes of lemons, white peach, stony minerality and Godello’s weighty, creamy texture, balanced by precise freshness.

Soave Classico 2024 A beautiful, dry, lemony and crisp Italian white with nods to creamy sage, chamomile flowers, almond and notes of oyster shell on the finish.
